The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services towards the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering providers which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency explained it's alarmed about the large number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a superior amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie status sassa and there's no fully functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The support position created for intervention encounters a substantial inflow of possible beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for that office to status sassa attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra assets to empower the servicing of all buyers and increase entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
